Appointment Scheduling

We strongly encourage clients to book online to secure your preferred stylist, date and time.

Please size your pets appropriately when using online booking so we have enough time allotted for them. If in doubt, or it’s close size up.

Each pet must have their own separate appointment scheduled. This allows us to schedule enough time for each pet.

If the appointment time is not available with your groomer of choice, but with someone else we cannot accommodate requests to change groomers for your appointment.

If you’ve already filled in our booking form when booking your pet before you can leave almost all fields blank except for first name, last name, phone and e-mail. Our system will pull in the other details for us.

Arrival Time

Please arrive on time for your appointment. If you are more than 15 minutes late, we may need to reschedule your appointment to avoid delays for other clients, this is considered a missed appointment.

Please take your dog for their bathroom break before checking them in with us. There is a small grassy area on the North side of our building. You must pick up your dog’s waste. There is a receptacle by the door and we have bags inside if you forgot yours.

Cancellations & No-Shows

We require 24 hours notice for cancellations and rescheduling. Missed appointments or last-minute cancellations may be subject to a fee.

No-shows and late cancelations impact our stylists’ ability to earn a living and our ability to keep prices down for everyone. — Please let us know as soon as possible any time day or night by calling or texting (587) 404-9199 if you can’t make your appointment time.

Matted Pets

If your pet is matted, please do not wet them, it tightens the matting making them more uncomfortable and difficult for us to remove them. We are happy to help your pet out of the tangles and offer you advice on brushing and grooming scheduling to meet your goals for your dog’s unique coat.

Extra time, care and equipment maintenance costs are required for matted dogs, even if we are shaving them down to the shortest length out of necessity. Additional charges for this service are $60/hour.

These are no good reasons to keep your pet in matted condition. The double coat doesn’t keep them warm when impacted and a haircut coat is painfully pulling against them constantly.

We will not brush out heavily matted pets, sensitive senior pets, or pets who do not tolerate brushing well. Humanity over vanity.

Senior Pets

We love working with senior pets and do our best to make them comfortable during grooming. Please inform us of any health or mobility concerns ahead of time so we can provide the best care possible.

Aggressive Pets

In Canada every worker has the fundamental right to a safe and healthy workplace, which includes the right to refuse unsafe work, and to know about workplace hazards. You must disclose any history of dangerous behavior by your pets so our staff can try to help with the behavior, take precautions, and make an informed choice to work with your pet. Failing to disclose aggressive behavior or previous bite history if known to you makes you liable for injury. A bite can cause permanent damage to a groomer’s hand and the inability to work in our field for life. We are very rarely injured by animals in our care, but when it does occur, it almost always could have been prevented by the owner being upfront and honest with us.

Clean & Safe Environment

For everyone’s safety, all dogs and cats must be up to date on vaccinations and be on leash or in a carrier.

If your dog has shown signs of illness, please reschedule your appointment.

Any pets with fleas, lice, ringworm or other communicable illness will be sent home in whatever condition they are in when discovered. We do not remove fleas and lice, only your veterinarian can treat these conditions.
